To Pod or Not To Pod, That Is The Question...

Do you linger on my every word like a lovesick schoolgirl? Or would you like to take a rusty ice pick to my jugular to make me shut the hell up? For, or against? Point, counterpoint? Discuss.

Should a semi-regular Podcast series by Venomous be added to Social Deviancy?

Hell yeah, that's a fantastic idea! I'd definately tune into that!

It's a decent idea, but it depends on how you implement it. Worth a shot, though.

I really don't care. I don't read the articles anyway, and I wouldn't listen to the Podcasts either!

Nah, that's a pretty lame idea. There must be a better way to boost this site!

That's the worst fucking idea I've ever heard, Venomous. You are an idiot.

Hey, Ven. I don't know shit about podcasting and I am not interested in getting much closer to it, either.

However, on the rare occasions I have time to not work while in front of my computer I do visit SD and read the articles and some of the more interesting forum posts, which means I do give a crap about what the members of this community have to say. And I think I'd be just as interested in hearing all this crap I have to absorb now through reading. So if you decided to start your podcast I'd be interested to start to listen to it. It would be even more fascinating for those whose native tongue is not English, like myself.

Oh, and one more thing. You could set up a pledgie.com account to raise some cash for the cause. I alone could donate a sum exceeding your total income of SD for the month of March. Think about it.

Pledgie.com, eh? I'd never heard of that site before, but what an absolutely fantastic idea! I don't know how many people besides you would be willing to part with even one lousy dollar, but it certainly couldn't hurt to give it a shot! Thanks for the tip!

EDIT: Well, that was easy! I've created a Pledgie.com account and set up my first pledge, to see if it works and how. Anybody reading this, please throw a few cents into the pot - as the clichéd saying goes, no donation is too small! =)

Thanks guys!

Awesome idea. Once I get my PayPal up and running, I'll probably hit it up with a few bucks.

When am I going to hear yours, Mike?

You know better than anybody that I want to get into some other podcasts first, listen to what works and doesn't work, see where others have succeeded and failed, to make a more successful show of my own right from the get-go. I've been waiting many weeks now for you to make good on providing me with copies of your Baystate Radio podcast show, since, being an ex-professional podcaster yourself, I value your experience and insight that seeing how you did your own show would provide me.

So, Michael, when am I going to hear the first episode?

Depends on when you download iTunes and search for the podcast "BayStateRadio" and download the episodes.

Well, I won't be downloading iTunes ever, but I'm certain there's some other way for me to get my hands on them.

When were you planning on telling me this, anyhow? You knew I was waiting to check out your show, and that I was waiting for you to make them available. Last I heard you were checking with Andy or Erik or one of those fags on how to find the archives, and then I hear nothing until this random crap like I should have been expected to know this all along...?

I told you in IRC to download them from iTunes. So, either download them from there or find some other shows to degrade.

Degrade? Who said anything about degrading? What's your problem? Did my hoping you would stick to your commitment to me offend you in some way?

I'm afraid I will not at any point whatsoever, EVER play rap music, Danish, humorous, or otherwise, on my show... =)

But I hope you listen in regardless. =)
