Dos bitch

Post by seajayjay » Thu Jan 04, 2007 4:22 am

Check out "3D realms" (see foot note) for dos games most are shareware some are freeware. It all started at the first day of school.
(ooooh sounds epic doesn't it j/k) I had signed up for
programing at the end of the previous school year but little did know.
To my surprise there wasn't enough people s
igned up for programing class there was only
like 12 with a school pop of at least 900 if not a
1000 yes my school is big I've heard of schools
10x bigger literally but thats a different story so
it was dropped and every one took business tech
which is an easy class.
But that was a good thing considering it was fucking
q basic which I learned latter older programing
language is harder than new ones so hopefully
next year there will be more students and it will
be C programing so any who there is a q basic 16
bit programing program on the computers mean
while i'm running 16 bit from Dosbox on my jump drive.
till one day I though woah 32 bit didn't exist when q basic
came out this program is 16 bit and all these computers
are running win xp pro and they still run 16 bit oh... my...
fucking... god
how in the hell... wtf so i try cata comb abyss with out
Dosbox holy shit it works "tight" (see foot note) so
wtf they run all 16 bit through a server with win 95 or 98?
so my question to you guys is how is the school computer
tech guy yes we only have 1 comp. tech to service over
100 computers at our school
doing this how is it possible.

tight: means cool
3d realms: 3Drealms.com

btw this is my first attempt at using the enter key

I'm not even going to TRY to read that. You really should take an English class, and learn proper sentence formatting.

My post is more interesting to read than even thinking about reading yours. Learn to spell, punctuate, use correct grammar and format it correctly.

Actually, I agree with Kyle here. I took one look at CJJ's post and decided against reading it.

Ditto here. But as I said to Kyle recently, I've actually sort of been doing that for a while now... my brain is starting to mentally filter out CJJs posts, if anything is more than one or two lines, I know there's no chance I'll be able to understand it, so I just subconsciously overlook it like I do if I come across text in another language.

Does anybody want to take a crack at trying to understand it and giving me and quick one line summary, or should I just not worry about it? =)

Something about his school offering programming classes but there not being enough interest.
Then he goes on to say it was only Basic they were offering, which he understands is an older limited language.
Then somehow he ends up talking about some game and dosbox.
Confidence comes in a brown bottle.

It is quite possible to manage over 100 personal computers for a school network. It is all about prioritizing your work load and making sure you don't forget low-priority items.

I met a guy while I was in school doing a project for the local town and he manages the entire network for the town and the 160+ PCs in a decentralized office (the town has 25+ offices). The difference between a centralized office verus decentralized is that with a centralized office everything is tied together, whereas a decentralized office everything is secluded to their own network.

I know it is stupid to have a decentralized office, but he works for the town and there is too much politics going on to change things not to mention a very limited budget.

Sorry Slick, had to make an executive judgement call here and scrap the post that was here. I would have just moved it if I could, 'cause it was funny, but that's beyond the power of this forum software, to split off one post onto another thread. But really, you gotta stop just picking random topics and image spamming them to death. =P

hej cjj, well congratulations... your posts have become easier to read,
that is, the syntax is improving. The semantics however, is another story.

regarding the enter key, then the next step is to "chop up" your text in manageble chunks... like this :

some text bla bla bla asfjlkjælkjædf sadfasdf
sadfasdf sdfasd dsfasdf
sadfdsa sadfsadf
sadsdaf sdfsadf
sfsd sdafsdaf

asdfsdaf sdafsdaf sadfsdffds
safsdf sadfdsf sadsdf

notice how I used the enter key to create a blank line after
writing about 5 lines of text.
0 what 1 and what 0
