what do you think for just under $500.00

Completely off-topic conversational diarrhea that the rest of the internet won't let you post anywhere because it's so pointless and irrelevant to anything important.

You could build something way better.

That video card sucks, by the way.
AMD AM2 > P4

Here, let me help, since I'm bored.

Using that same case (if you like it)

APEVIA X-Dreamer: $44.99
LG 18X Lightscribe DVD Burner: $28.99
Western Digital 160GB HDD: $49.99
BIOStar TForce TF7025-M2 AM2 MicroATX Motherboard: $69.99 ($59.99 after rebate)
AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2GHz Dual Core CPU: $74.99
GeIL DDR2 800 2GB (2 x 1GB) Dual Channel RAM Kit: $84.99 ($49.99 after rebate)
FSP 400W PSU (because that PSU included with the case sucks): $39.99
MSI 8600GTS PCI-E Video Card: $149.99 ($129.99 after rebate).

This comes in below $500 (including shipping).

not to shabby. I guess it could be upgraded in the future with a 512 video card and 3ghz cpu. Would it be able to run bioshock at medium gfx setting with 2.2ghz and 256mb V card?

Stick with what I picked out for you - that should run bioshock on full graphics.

Nah.. gimme a servercase with twin cpu's xeon dualcore at 3 ghz (2 1 GBps netcards onboard aswell as scsi, eide and sata including hardware raid), 16 gb memory, nice 3d card 512mb memory (pci express interface), eax usb soundcard, multi dvd unit and a 750 gb sata 300 harddisk, all for about 20.000 dkk (about 2000 euro I think?).. on a danish it computer shop site.

20.000 dkk is actually not a lot, you can hardly buy an old beatup and used car for that in denmark.
